Peoples Financial Services Corp. Second Quarter Earnings Report
Net income through six months in 2007 was $2,412,000 compared to $2,037,000 for the same period in 2006. For the quarter ended June 30, 2007, net income was $1,289,000 compared to $992,000 for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Net interest income for the first six months of 2007 was $6,378,000 which compares to $5,949,000 for the six month period ended June 30, 2006. This is an increase of $429,000, or 7.21%. For the quarter ended June 30, 2007, net interest income was $3,229,000 compared to $2,998,000 for the same period in 2006. This was an increase of $231,000, or 7.71%
Total assets on June 30, 2007 were $414,781,000, which compares to $397,841,000 as of June 30, 2006. Total assets were down when compared to the December 31, 2006 figure of $416,268,000. Compared to the June 30, 2006 figure of $267,419,000, net loans were up 2.58% at $274,308,000 as of June 30, 2007. On December 31, 2006, net loans were $269,383,000.
Deposits totaled $325,562,000 as of June 30, 2007, compared to $309,438,000 on June 30, 2006, an increase of 5.21%. Total deposits were $323,613,000 as of December 31, 2006.
