The Public Utility Commission of Texas approved the unanimous settlement of a request by AEP Texas North Company (“TNC”) to increase the rates it charges for transmission and distribution services. The settlement provides for a $7.5 million increase in rates, which, along with the expiration of $6.2 million in merger credits, results in an annual cash increase of $13.7 million. Implementation of the new charges will begin with the first June billing cycle.
