Unrealized gains or losses on the MRBs are recorded in the Partnership’s condensed consolidated statements of comprehensive income (loss) to reflect changes in their estimated fair values resulting from market conditions and fluctuations in the present value of the expected cash flows from the MRBs. During the three months ended March 31, 2020, the Partnership recognized a $1.4 million provision for credit loss related to the Provision Center 2014-1 MRB in its condensed consolidated statements of operations. The credit loss related to the Provision Center 2014-1 MRB was primarily driven by debt service shortfalls by the underlying commercial property. The borrower of the Provision Center 2014-1 MRB filed for bankruptcy in December 2020. MRB Activity in the First Three Months of 2021 Acquisitions: There were no MRBs acquired during the three months ended March 31, 2021.
