bebe stores, inc. Announces October 2006 Sales;
Same Store Sales Increase 8.2%

BRISBANE, CALIF. – November 2, 2006 – bebe stores, inc. (Nasdaq: BEBE) today reported retail sales of $47.4 million for the four-week period ended October 28, 2006, an increase of 21.2% compared to sales of $39.1 million for the four-week period ended October 29, 2005. Same store sales for the four-week period increased 8.2% compared to an increase of 2.1% for October 2005.

Retail sales for the year-to-date period ending October 28, 2006 were $203.9 million compared to $164.3 million for the year-to-date period ending October 29, 2005 an increase of 24.1%. Same store sales for the year-to-date period ending October 28, 2006 increased 11.7% compared to an increase of 13.3% for the year-to-date period ending October 29, 2005.

As of October 28, 2006, finished goods inventory per square foot was approximately 13% higher as compared to the prior year.
