bebe stores, inc. Announces March 2003 Sales
BRISBANE, CALIF. – April 10, 2003 – bebe stores, inc. (Nasdaq: BEBE) today reported retail sales of $24.9 million for the month ended March 31, 2003, a decrease of 4.6% compared to sales of $26.1 million for the month ended March 31, 2002.
Same store sales for March decreased 10.5% over the comparable period of fiscal 2002. Prior year same store sales decreased 3.5% for March 2002.
Retail sales for the nine months ended March 31, 2003 were $240.7 million compared to $240.9 million for the corresponding period of the prior year. Comparable store sales for the nine months ended March 31, 2003 decreased 9.6% over the comparable period of fiscal 2002.
