Explanation of Responses:

1. Payment of tax obligation by withholding securities incident to the vesting of securities in accordance with Rule 16b-3(e).

2. Western Digital Corporation eliminated the WDC stock fund as an investment alternative available under the Western Digital Corporation 401(k) Plan. As a result, effective April 5, 2022, the 9.2601 shares of WDC common stock the Reporting Person previously reported as beneficially owned under the plan were automatically liquidated.
