Quicksilver Resources Announces Three-For-Two Stock Split
FORT WORTH, TEXAS (June 1, 2005) --Quicksilver Resources Inc. (NYSE: KWK)today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a three-for-two stock split of its outstanding common stock for stockholders of record at the close of business on June 15, 2005 (the "Record Date"). The stock split will be effected in the form of a dividend of one-half share of common stock on each share of common stock that is outstanding as of the Record Date. The stock dividend will be paid on June 30, 2005 (the "Distribution Date"). Stockholders who would otherwise receive a fractional share of common stock will be entitled to a cash payment in an amount equal to the product of (i) the fraction of a share to which such stockholder would otherwise be entitled and (ii) the average of the closing price per share of common stock on the Record Date and the closing price per share of common stock on the Distribution Date, in each case as reported in the New York Stock Exchange Co mposite Tape. Quicksilver will have approximately 75,900,000 shares outstanding after the stock split.
