The Board of Directors (“Board”) of Janus Capital Group Inc. appointed one new director, Billie Williamson, effective March 3, 2015. Ms. Williamson was also appointed to serve on the Audit Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of the Board.

The appointment of Ms. Williamson was recommended to the Board by the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of the Board, with assistance from a search firm engaged by that committee.
