Medco Announces Expiration of Hart-Scott-Rodino
Waiting Period for Proposed Accredo Health Acquisition
FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J., April 8, 2005 – Medco Health Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:MHS) today announced that the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, relating to its proposed acquisition of Accredo Health, Incorporated (NASDAQ: ACDO), was not extended by a second request for information by the government and expired at midnight on April 7, 2005.
On Feb. 23, 2005, Medco announced a definitive agreement to acquire Accredo in a cash and stock transaction.
