Item 8.01 Other Events.
As a result of a preliminary inquiry undertaken by the registrant, Wilshire Enterprises, Inc. has identified certain instances in which benefits may have been improperly conferred upon a private consulting firm. A principal of that firm was, and may continue to be, a public servant. The Company has retained outside counsel to perform a review of this matter. Based on current information, the registrant does not believe that this matter will materially adversely affect any financial statements previously filed by the registrant. However, costs associated with such inquiry and the review of this matter may be considerable.
