Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On August 20, 2009, Hooker Furniture Corporation (the “Company”) announced that R. Gary Armbrister, Chief Accounting Officer, will be leaving the Company effective September 8, 2009. E. Larry Ryder, Executive Vice President – Finance and Administration, will assume the additional role of Chief Accounting Officer on that date.
“Gary has been a trusted and important member of our management team over the past ten years,” said Ryder. “He has made many valuable contributions to our Company, and we all wish him well in his future endeavors.”
