On February 26, 2009, Theravance, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that it received a Complete Response letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) outlining requirements for approval of telavancin for the treatment of complicated skin and skin structure infections (cSSSI). A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. Members of the Company's management will discuss this announcement on a conference call today at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
