(b) On June 29, 2007, Gregory W. Buckis, formerly Vice President and Controller of the UIL Holdings Corporation (the “Registrant”) left the Registrant as part of a consolidation of certain finance functions described in Item 8.01 below.
Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 29, 2007, UIL Holdings Corporation (the “Registrant”) issued a press release announcing a consolidation of certain finance functions of the Registrant in connection with the Registrant’s strategic direction to focus on the utility operations of its wholly-owned subsidiary The United Illuminating Company. A copy of the Registrant’s press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.
