In October 2006, iBasis, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that it had received an informal inquiry from the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) relating to its stock option practices. On March 29, 2007, the SEC staff notified the Company that it will receive a formal order of investigation. The Company has cooperated and will continue to cooperate with the SEC.
