1. The shares of common stock of Sycamore Networks, Inc. (the "Issuer") reported in this Form 3 are directly held by General Holdings LLC ("General Holdings"). Andrew Bellas is the Manager of General Holdings. Mr. Bellas may be deemed to indirectly beneficially own the securities held by General Holdings because Mr. Bellas may be deemed to have voting and investment power over such securities by virtue of his position as Manager of General Holdings. Each Reporting Person disclaims beneficial ownership of the shares of common stock of the Issuer reported herein except to the extent of his or its pecuniary interest therein, and this report shall not be deemed to be an admission that any Reporting Person is the beneficial owner of such shares of common stock for purposes of Section 16 or for any other purpose.
