John G. Murchie, Vice President, Treasurer and Controller for OurPet’s Company (“OurPet’s” or the “Company”) has elected to retire from the Company. Mr. Murchie has agreed to remain with the Company through April 15, 2009 to assist with the transition of responsibilities to the Company’s new chief financial officer.
Scott Mendes, age 56, will join OurPet’s as its Controller and Chief Financial Officer effective February 2, 2009. Mr. Mendes was employed for the past 14 years with Northern Ohio-based Safeguard Properties, Inc., the nation’s largest privately-held provider of property inspections and preservation services for the mortgage servicing industry, serving as its controller for the majority of his tenure with the company.
