Item 8.01. Other Events.
Rudolph Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: RTEC), a global leader in high-performance process control metrology, defect inspection and data analysis solutions for semiconductor manufacturing, held an analyst and investor meeting on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at the Company's Metrology Business Unit headquarters in Budd Lake, NJ. Presentations were given by senior executives representing Rudolph's three business units: metrology, inspection, and data analysis & review.
The presentations focused on the addressable market for the Company's products, new product introductions, including the latest opaque metrology system MetaPULSE X <TM>, and the Company's outlook on the Japanese semiconductor market.
