Allan E. Sturges, principal accounting officer of M&F Bancorp, Inc., resigned, effective June 30, 2008. Lyn Hittle, who was appointed Chief Financial Officer of M&F Bancorp, Inc. and its subsidiary, Mechanics and Farmers Bank, effective May 12, 2008, has assumed all of Mr. Sturges’ duties and responsibilities. Mr. Sturges has accepted a senior management position with another financial institution.
