Finisar Corporation Announces Pricing of Upsized Offering of Common Stock
SUNNYVALE, CA, Mar 17, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX News Network) - Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ: FNSR), a technology leader for fiber optic subsystems and components for communication applications, today announced that it has priced the previously announced public offering of its Common Stock. The Company increased the size of the offering from 7,200,000 shares to 8,640,000 shares, which will be sold at a price to the public of $14.00 per share, for total gross proceeds of $121.0 million. The offering is expected to close on March 23, 2010, subject to customary closing conditions. The Company has also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,147,093 shares of Common Stock, and certain selling stockholders have granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 148,907 shares, solely to cover over-allotments, if any. The Company will not receive any proceeds from any sale of shares by the selling stockholders.
