Everest Appoints BrentHoffman as InterimGeneral Counsel; Announcesthe

Departure of Sanjoy Mukherjee

(“Everest”) (NYSE: RE), a globalunderwriting leaderproviding best-in-classproperty,casualty,

and specialty reinsuranceand insurance solutions, todayannounced that Brent Hoffmanhas been

appointed interim GeneralCounsel, replacingSanjoy Mukherjeewho will be leaving theCompany

to pursue otheropportunities effectiveApril 21, 2023. The Companywill be conducting a search

for Mr. Mukherjee’spermanent replacement.

Mr. Hoffmanbrings more than25 years of extensivelegal and industryexperience to the role.

Prior to joining Everest, heserved in severalsenior claims andlegal positions at major global

(re)insurance organizationsand private practice, recentlyas AXA XL’sChief Claims Officer,

where he led the company’sglobal claims strategy andoperations across multiple businesslines

and geographies. He alsoserved as GeneralCounsel – GlobalClaims, where he led AXA XL’sin-

house legal teamsupporting all aspectsof the company’sglobal claims operations. Additionally,

Mr. Hoffmanheld senior leadershippositions at The HartfordFinancial ServicesGroup, Inc.,

overseeing claims, litigation, andsettlement strategies.He received his Bachelorof Arts from

Gettysburg Collegeand a Juris Doctor fromThe Dickinson School ofLaw.
