Item 8.01. Other Events
On March 6, 2006, 724 Solutions Inc. issued a press release announcing that it and Austin Ventures had agreed to extend the deadline set for responding to Austin Ventures’ proposal to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of 724 Solutions Inc. not currently owned by Austin Ventures. The proposal was previously scheduled to expire March 6, 2006, and would now expire on March 16, 2006, unless further extended. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
