Item 8.01 - Other Events.
MidAmerican Energy Company ("MidAmerican") reported today that it completed the sale of $350 million in aggregate principal amount of its 5.800% medium-term notes due October 15, 2036. The proceeds will be used by MidAmerican to pay construction costs of its interest in Council Bluffs Energy Center Unit No. 4 and its wind projects in Iowa, repay short-term indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.
