     On November 16, 2009, MetLife, Inc. issued a press release announcing the declaration of fourth quarter 2009 dividends of $0.2527777 per share on MetLife, Inc.’s floating rate non-cumulative preferred stock, Series A, and $0.4062500 per share on MetLife, Inc.’s 6.50% non-cumulative preferred stock, Series B. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
