Item 8.01. Other Events.
On October 13, 2014, Nanosphere, Inc. (the “Company’) announced that the Company received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (the “FDA”) for the Company’s Verigene® Enteric Pathogens Nucleic Acid Test (EP). A copy of the Company’s press release announcing the FDA approval is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
