Item 8.01. Other Events.
On June 28, 2008, Sonus Networks, Inc. (the “Company”) sent a letter to Legatum Capital Limited (“Legatum”), one of its shareholders, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference. Legatum responded to the letter by delivering a letter to the Company dated June 30, 2008, which was attached as an exhibit to Legatum’s Amendment No. 7 to Statement on Schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on June 30, 2008.
