On April 10, 2007, Blair Hendrix informed SMTC Corporation (the “Company”) that he did not intend to stand for re-election to the Board of Directors of the Company at the Company’s 2007 annual meeting of stockholders (the “Annual Meeting”), and that he would be resigning as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company, effective as of the date of the Annual Meeting.
