Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.
On August 26, 2005, Endeavour International Corporation ("Endeavour") named Lance Gilliland to the new position of executive vice president and chief financial officer. From 1993 through 2005, Mr. Gilliland, age 37, has served in various capacities at Goldman, Sachs & Co., a full-service global investment banking and securities firm, including most recently as vice president - investment banking services, and prior to that as vice president - mergers and strategic advisory and vice president - mergers and acquisitions.
