1. Shares of common stock acquired pursuant to The Medicines Company Employee Stock Purchase Plan ("ESPP") for the ESPP purchase period beginning March 1, 2019 and ending August 30, 2019. In accordance with the terms of the ESPP, these share were purchased based on 85% of the fair market value closing price of the issuer's common stock on March 1, 2019.
