Item 8.01 Other Events.
On November 5, 2013, Keryx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Keryx”) issued a press release announcing top-line results from the Phase 2 study of Zerenex™ (ferric citrate coordination complex) in non-dialysis dependent chronic kidney disease patients with elevated serum phosphorus and iron deficiency anemia. A copy of the press release is being filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
