Canada Life completes acquisition of German Operation of Prudential U.K.
TORONTO, CANADA - Canada Life Financial Corporation (Canada Lifeā¢) today announced it has completed the acquisition of the Irish based German life operations of Prudential U.K. plc.
First announced on November 14, 2002, the acquisition makes Canada Life Europe one of the top five companies in the German broker unit linked market and the market leader in Critical Illness and will enable the company to achieve greater operating efficiencies.
The transfer is expected to gain approval of the High Court of Ireland, during the first half of 2003.
