Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure
On January 12, 2009, Encore Acquisition Company issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors has approved a revised capital budget for 2009 of $310 million related to its drilling and development program. The press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference into this Item 7.01.
