     This Current Report on Form 8-K/A amends the Form 8-K filed by Flowers Foods, Inc. with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 23, 2009 by amending the disclosure in the original filing as follows:

Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.

     On November 20, 2009, the Board of Directors of Flowers Foods, Inc. elected David V. Singer to the company’s Board of Directors. Mr. Singer will stand for election at the 2010 Annual Meeting of Shareholders to serve for a term of two years.
