Item 8.01 Other Events.
On May 4, 2007, Odyssey HealthCare, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Board of Directors of the Company has approved a new stock repurchase program. This new program authorizes the Company to repurchase up to $50 million of its common stock either in the open market or through privately negotiated transactions over the next twelve months. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.
