Oncolytics Biotech Inc. Announces Issuance of 19th U.S. Patent
CALGARY, AB — March 6, 2007– Oncolytics Biotech Inc. (TSX: ONC, NASDAQ: ONCY) (“Oncolytics”) has been granted U.S. Patent 7,186,542 entitled “Method of Extracting Virus from Cell Culture.” The claims describe a method of producing infectious reovirus that allows for the removal of cell debris by filtration and concentration of the filtrate.
“This patent expands on similar manufacturing patents secured by the Company,” said Dr. Matt Coffey, Chief Scientific Officer of Oncolytics.
