The following statement was issued by XenoPort, Inc. (the “Company”) on April 25, 2014 to Bloomberg:
“XenoPort’s Board of Directors is committed to realizing the full potential of XenoPort’s assets and to enhancing stockholder value. We are confident that XenoPort has the right Board, the right team, and the right strategy to deliver on this objective. In contrast, Clinton’s nominees add no relevant skills or experience that is not already represented on the XenoPort Board. Furthermore, we believe that, if elected, the Clinton nominees may pursue plans that could undermine the Board’s goal of enhancing value for all XenoPort stockholders.”
