On September 16, 2010, Charter Financial Corporation, a federal corporation (the “Company”), announced that it commenced the syndicated community offering portion of the incremental offering of its common stock not subscribed for in the subscription offering or the community offering. The Company also announced the increase of the maximum purchase limitation from $1.5 million of common stock for individual purchasers to 5% of the common stock sold in the offering. The Company may also allow investors to purchase up to 9.99% of the common stock sold in the offering, provided that purchases of common stock exceeding 5% of shares sold in the offering may not exceed in the aggregate 10% of the shares sold in the offering. The ownership limitations for current Company stockholders disclosed in the prospectus remain unchanged.
