In connection with this amendment no. 1 to the quarterly report on Form 10-Q of Southern Connecticut Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”), I, Stephen V. Ciancarelli, acting as the chief financial officer of  the Company and of the Company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, The Bank of Southern Connecticut, hereby certify, pursuant to 18 U.S.C. Section 1350, as adopted pursuant to Section 906 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, that:
