Team,
This morning, our shareowners overwhelmingly approved the proposal for United Technologies Corporation (UTC) to acquire Rockwell Collins. More than 96 percent of all votes cast were in favor of the transaction, signaling shareowners’ strong desire for the acquisition and bringing it a step closer to reality.
A number of regulatory approvals are now needed before the completion of the transaction, which is expected by the third quarter of calendar year 2018.
As you know, UTC’s plan is to unite our capabilities with UTC Aerospace Systems and create Collins Aerospace. The combination will open up opportunities to offer more products and services, greater investment in innovation, and more integrated solutions to better meet customer needs.
These are exciting days as we continue on the path ahead!
