MAX CAPITAL GROUP LTD. ANNOUNCES DIVIDEND,
BOARD APPROVAL OF INCREASE IN SHARE REPURCHASE PLAN
HAMILTON, BERMUDA, May 7, 2007—Max Capital Group Ltd. (NASDAQ: MXGL; BSX: MXGL BH) announced today that the Company’s Board of Directors, at a meeting held on May 4, 2007, declared a quarterly dividend of $0.07 per share.
The dividend is payable on May 31, 2007, to shareholders of record as of May 18, 2007.
During the three months ended March 31, 2007, Max Capital repurchased 795,100 common shares at an average price per share of $24.69 under the board-approved share repurchase plan.
On May 4, 2007, Max Capital’s Board of Directors approved an increase in the share repurchase plan, increasing the dollar value of shares that may be repurchased to $50.0 million from the $16.4 million remaining under the previous share repurchase authorization.
