On August 23, 2007, the Board of Directors of Greer Bancshares Incorporated, the parent company of Greer State Bank, declared a cash dividend of 17 cents per share for the third quarter of 2007. The dividend will be payable on September 15, 2007 to shareholders of record as of September 1, 2007. A copy of the press release announcing the dividend is filed as Exhibit 99.1.
