SUEZ denies having had contacts with any candidate for the French presidential elections regarding its planned merger with Gaz de France, which has already been discussed at national level, concluding with the French parliament’s voting of the law to privatize Gaz de France.
The Boards of Directors of both companies having recently repeated the fact that this project remains their priority, SUEZ simply reiterates that it corresponds to an industrial necessity in the context of European energy market consolidation and high prices of raw materials.
