Item 8.01. Other Events.
On July 22, 2016, Allied World Assurance Company Holdings, AG (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that Scott Carmilani, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, and other members of the Company’s executive management team will ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange (the “NYSE”) on July 25, 2016. The opening bell ceremony commemorates the 10th anniversary of the listing of the Company’s common shares on the NYSE. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
