Item 5.02 Departure of Certain Officers
On August 13, 2022, Mr. Stephen Gottesfeld Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability & External Affairs Officer, notified Newmont Corporation (the “Company”) of his decision to retire effective as of September 29, 2022 after 25 years of dedicated service to the Company. Mr. Gottesfeld is voluntarily retiring with eligibility under the disclosed retirement programs of the Company, and he will not receive additional retirement pay or benefits beyond the Company’s disclosed programs. To assure knowledge transition, the Company expects to enter into a transition services agreement with Mr. Gottesfeld in the future. The Company extends its deepest thanks to Mr. Gottesfeld for his significant contributions over the course of his meaningful career with the Company.
