ITEM 2.02 RESULTS OF OPERATIONS AND FINANCIAL CONDITION
On April 20, 2010, Monarch Community Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a news release entitled “Monarch Community Bancorp, Inc. Announces First Quarter Earnings” to report its preliminary financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2010. A copy of the news release was furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to a report on Form 8-K filed by Monarch Community Bancorp on April 23, 2010. This report on Form 8-K/A amends the report on Form 8-K filed by Monarch Community Bancorp on April 23, 2010 to restate in its entirety the news release furnished as Exhibit 99.1 thereto.
The information furnished in this Form 8-K/A, including the Exhibit attached hereto, shall not be deemed “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
