COMPLETION OF COMMON SHARES OFFERING
COMPLETION OF COMMON SHARES OFFERING
HAMILTON, BERMUDA, SEPTEMBER 22, 2005-Platinum Underwriters Holdings, Ltd. (the “Company”) (NYSE: PTP) today announced that it has sold 5,839,286 of its common shares. The net proceeds to the Company are expected to be approximately $161,865,000. The shares were reoffered at $28.00. All shares were offered by the Company and were sold pursuant to the Company’s effective shelf registration statement. Merrill Lynch & Co. acted as the underwriter of the offering.
