| Item 7.01. | Regulation FD Disclosure |
On June 9, 2011, Bill Barrett Corporation (the “Company”) announced that the Company has closed on its previously announced acquisition of the owner and operator of a Uinta Basin oil property and related assets, which the Company has named East Bluebell. A press release concerning this acquisition is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report.
In accordance with General Instruction B.2 of Form 8-K, the information in this Item shall not be deemed “filed” for the purpose of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, nor shall it be deemed incorporated by reference in any filing.
