We recently announced an agreement to combine with Alaska Airlines to create an even stronger airline, while continuing to operate under the Hawaiian Airlines brand. We wanted to reach out directly to let you know how this combination of two airlines with 90+ year legacies and service-oriented cultures will benefit our customers and the communities that we serve. Together, we will be able to accelerate investments in our fleet, technology, customer service, sustainability and community.

The combination of complementary domestic, international, and cargo networks will enhance competition and expand choice for consumers throughout the Pacific region, Continental U.S. and globally. In particular, one of the key benefits of the combination of Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines is expanded service for Hawai‘i, including increased cargo capacity.

While there is a lot to look forward to, this announcement is the first step. There are approvals that are required to complete this combination, which we expect to occur in the next 12-18 months. Until then, Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines will continue to operate as independent airlines. There are no expected changes to the way we work with you.
