IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE ADJOURNMENT OF THE UPCOMING 2009 ANNUAL MEETING OF STOCKHOLDERS OF BEHRINGER HARVARD REIT I, INC., WE NEED YOUR VOTE!  The Annual Meeting is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., local time on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the executive offices of the Company, 15601 Dallas Parkway, Suite 600, Addison, Texas 75001.  Since an adjournment and postponement of the Annual Meeting would be costly to the Company, we are making efforts to avoid doing so, and you can help by voting.

We recently mailed you a proxy statement and proxy card to obtain your vote on a proposal to elect five individuals to serve on the Company’s board of directors. According to our latest records, we have not received your proxy vote for this proposal.  Your vote is important, no matter how many shares you own.  The Annual Meeting cannot be held unless stockholders holding at least 50% of our shares either attend the meeting or vote by proxy.  The Board of Directors has unanimously approved this proposal and recommends that you vote to approve it.
