Item 8.01 Other Events.
On October 22, 2014, the Board of Directors of Cardica, Inc. issued a statement regarding Broadfin Capital LLC’s filing of a preliminary proxy statement. The statement from the the Cardica Board of Directors is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference herein.
