Item 2. 02 Results of Operation and Financial Condition.
On October 29, 2014, Provident Financial Services, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a news release announcing its financial results for the three months and nine months ended September 30, 2014. A copy of the news release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is being furnished to the SEC and shall not be deemed “filed” for any purpose.
Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On October 29, 2014, the Company announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.15 per common share, payable on November 28, 2014 to stockholders of record on November 14, 2014.
This announcement was included as part of the news release announcing financial results for the three months and nine months ended September 30, 2014 issued by the Company on October 29, 2014 and attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report. A copy of the news release is being furnished to the SEC and shall not be deemed “filed” for any purpose.
